There’s a lot going on in the world.

People know me. I have earned my credibility. I am fact-driven. I have traveled the world. I didn’t read about the world on the internet, I saw it up close and personal.

Everybody says politics and news are so polarized. You’re not. Why?

Guests trust that I’ll be fair. I have been able to book Democrats and Republicans. Nobody has ever walked off my set saying, “You are unfair or that was unfair.” They may not have liked the questions, but no one has said I was unfair.

You go into the field for breaking stories — not all anchors and hosts will do that. What drives you?

It’s always better to see things in person. Seeing things — that shapes you and shapes your reporting.
