Mike Huckabee was born and raised in Hope, Ark. After majoring in religion at Ouachita Baptist University, he worked as the director of communications for Evangelist James Robison. Later he served as an ordained Southern Baptist minister in Arkansas.
In 1993 Huckabee ran for Lieutenant Governor of Arkansas in a special election and won. When the sitting governor resigned, Huckabee took the state’s top job.
Mike is also a noted public speaker, best-selling author and even a musician!
